DIAGNOSTIC EVALUATION FOR ADULTS (over 18)
(FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS, PLEASE CLICK HERE.)
The goal of ADD Austin is to provide a Diagnostic Evaluation that is both thorough and affordable. This process requires a detailed interview, a variety of questionnaires, and brief testing. There are two parts to the Diagnostic Evaluation.
- Part One: Before meeting with the psychologist, you will be scheduled to come to the office to take two (2) computer-based tests and complete several questionnaires and forms. You will need to plan at least three (3) hours for this appointment.
- Part Two of the Diagnostic Evaluation is an extensive interview with the psychologist. In preparation for this appointment, the psychologist will have reviewed all of your questionnaires and test results. During the interview you will be asked about your concerns, your goals for the evaluation, and additional information about your history and current concerns. At the end of this appointment, the psychologist will share diagnostic conclusions and recommendations with you.
Because diagnostic evaluations and testing require several hours on our schedule, there is a non-refundable deposit required at the time your appointment is booked. The amount of the deposit will vary depending on the type of appointment. You will be given detailed information when you call to schedule your appointment.
