ADD Austin’s “Tip of the Week” has been changed to “Tips in 2 Minutes”. Our goal is to provide you with occasional tips designed to be read in two minutes or less. If you previously signed up to receive the Tip of the Week, you will now be receiving less frequent e-mails. If you have not yet signed up to receive Tips, click here to do so. Remember one of my previous tips: “If I can do something in two minutes or less, do it now.”
You may have heard the expression, “A man with one watch knows what time it is, but a man with two watches is never sure.” Well, that goes at least double for calendars. “A person with one calendar knows where to be. A person with two calendars probably won’t show up.”
Whether you use paper or electronic, a fancy Day Runner or a freebie from Hallmark, never make the mistake of trying to run your life from one more than one calendar.
The only exception I make, and with great caution, is the use of a Family Calendar posted in the kitchen or other central place. For the Family Calendar to work well, you have to be willing to schedule a regular time when you “sync” your personal calendar with the Family Calendar.
Happy Planning!
